Just to keep up with the busy theme, the week before Thanksging I was in St. Pete Beach, FL for a work trip. I got back on that Thursday before the holiday. In the next few days leading up to Thanksgiving I helped my brother-in-law move into his first home, I hosted a wedding shower, I saw my dear friends’ new baby, I met with a prominent photographer from the area and I shot my first solo wedding at the Ellicott City court house. It was a busy few days to say the least! To tide you over until after my last final and last class project EVER are over this upcoming week, here are few of the baby shots that I was able to snag.
World, meet Nathaniel Peter, firstborn son of my dear friend Melanie and her husband Donnie. Baby Nate, welcome to the world! read on! »

This past weekend the counter on my camera rolled over, meaning that I have taken over 10000 photos with my camera since I got it, about a year ago on September 27th, 2008. (Of course, Jeremy stole my camera occasionally. )
My camera hit 10,000 photos while shooting Mark and Lindsay’s wedding with Mandy!

A brief history of my life behind the lenses of a camera and some thoughts about photography, the film versus digital debate, and the great photoshop debate.

What kind of camera do you use? Do you use film or digital and why? Do you use photoshop or some other image manipulation program? What is the best photograph you have ever seen?

whatever this world can give to me
It’s you, you’re all I see
Ooo, you make me live now honey
Ooo, you make me live
You’re the best friend
that I ever had
I’ve been with you such a long time
You’re my sunshine
And I want you to know
That my feelings are true
I really love you
You’re my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
I’ve been wandering round
But I still come back to you
In rain or shine
You’ve stood by me girl
I’m happy, happy at home
You’re my best friend.
You’re the first one
When things turn out bad
You know I’ll never be lonely
You’re my only one
And I love
The things that you do
You’re my best friend
Ooo, you make me live.
I’m happy, happy at home
You’re my best friend
You’re my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
You, you’re my best friend.

I am now approaching the final stretch towards my wedding. Am I ready? Well, the flowers are ordered, the church is booked, almost everyone knows when to show up I think. . . but am I ready? Some days I think I am and sometimes I am so sure. It’s not really cold feet, it’s more of a fear of failure.
Will I be able to support Jeremy the way he needs me too? Will he love me even if I burn dinner or when I am old? Will we be able to bring each other closer to God?
