After standing in freakishly long lines to buy a metro ticket and after an hour fifteen metro ride, we finally arrived at the Restoring Honor rally at the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. just before the starting time at 10AM. Armed with lots of water and my stalker lenses, I tried to get some fun shots of the festivities. Enjoy!

This past weekend the counter on my camera rolled over, meaning that I have taken over 10000 photos with my camera since I got it, about a year ago on September 27th, 2008. (Of course, Jeremy stole my camera occasionally. )

My camera hit 10,000 photos while shooting Mark and Lindsay’s wedding with Mandy!

I have been crazy busy lately. I am taking my last two classes for my Masters this semester. (WOOPWOOP!) Jeremy (and I) are building a garage in our backyard. (For more timely garage updates, go here.) I am still working full time, and I have gotten the chance to shoot a couple of weddings with my dear friend Mandy and shoot my friend Jen’s belly dancing show. Oh, and I am trying to keep up with the housework.

So yesterday, after I got home from class, when I had a few spare minutes, instead of hitting the mountain of laundry or editing all the photos that I am behind on, or updating this blog or working on homework, I decided to make a pie. Because that is a good use of my time.

I am a people watcher. I admit it and I do it a lot. One of my favorite things to do is to find a place on campus that is “quiet” or rather where the noise of all the people around melds into a constant hum. There I will sit, maybe with a book in front of me, maybe not, and watch. People are interesting. There is the chic with the hot pink hair, fuzzy snow boots and a mini skirt in 90 degree weather. Then there passes a group of sorority girls all in pink and lots of make up. The artists are at a table across from me, skinny, dark hair poking every which way, always in browns or earth tones. A shout arises from the group of boys sitting in a circle all with laptops, I guess one of them as defeated the next level of dungeons and dragons.
