Milestones
This past weekend the counter on my camera rolled over, meaning that I have taken over 10000 photos with my camera since I got it, about a year ago on September 27th, 2008. (Of course, Jeremy stole my camera occasionally. )
My camera hit 10,000 photos while shooting Mark and Lindsay’s wedding with Mandy!
In the past year my camera has done a lot of work:
I have been a second shooter at five weddings, four with Mandy and one with Stacy.
Mark and Lindsay, and Reed and Laura.
I have assisted in one portrait session and held two of my own.
I assisted shooting a graduation party, and shot a belly dance performance.
I have assisted in one engagement session and have had two of my own.
We had fun in a photo scavenger hunt with Stacy and Heather and their spouses.
Also in the past year:
My husband and I bought our first house.
My husband and I had our second wedding anniversary.
My baby sister went away to college and my other sister is set to finish this December.
My brother-in-law got married.
Both my grandfather and Jeremy’s grandmother have found a better lives.
I started attending a new church.
I spoke at a conference in Las Vegas.
I’ve been to three car shows and a cruise-in.
I got a new blog and website. (piggy backing off of Jeremy’s site.)
I’ll be finishing my master’s this December.
I threw two surprise parties.
I joined twitter.
I have become more appreciative of my family and my friends.
God has blessed me tremendously and I’d say my first year with my D90 was a pretty good one. My prayer is that I become a better photographer and a better person and that I will always use what I have been given to praise Him and to touch others.

There are so many genuine smiling faces on the other side of your lens! I find myself wishing there were some event that I could get you to come take photos for.
