The Chairs. The Question.

I have a huge dilemma and I need your help! I am calling out to all those on the vast internet in search of your opinion. You, yes you right there. Don’t you dare leave this page with out giving me your two cents!

I bought these really cute cafe chairs from a yard sale for a great price! A whole set of 8! They definitely need a little tender love and care, though. The black paint is a bit chipped and there are some dings and cracks.

I spent the last couple of days filling in wholes with wood putty (its like play dough!), sealing cracks with wood glue and vice grips, and sanding all the chairs down . But now is the question. THE BIG QUESTION! What color should I paint them?

Colored chairs are definitely in. Just check out these at Pottery Barn.

I initially was thinking a white type color, but the walls are ‘Stable Hay’ and I am afraid that they would clash or make either the walls or the chairs just looking a bit dingy.

Then I was thinking color. Like RED! But Jeremy nixed that idea. So then I went with a green.

Nope. Not liking it. Plus it clashes with the living room green, ‘Asparagus.’ So back to Home Depot I went for a brown. (Jeremy’s idea.)

But now I am not really liking this brown. (Which is actually ‘Nutmeg’.) So I dunno. What do you think? If I try a third, I am going to go for ‘Espresso,’ which is deep dark brown. I dunno. I really need your help! Keep in mind that I am using spray paint here, so the color choices are somewhat limited.

What do you think? ‘Nutmeg,’ ‘Moss Green,’ or something else?
