Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?

I am a total nerd. I got this t-shirt for 3 bucks even though I really have no need for a new t-shirt; I have too many as it is! My natural habitat is jeans, a t-shirt and flip-flops. And a hoodie if it’s cold. Blast having a real job in the real world where I need to wear real clothes. Anyhow . . . I love my new shirt. Don’t judge, you are just jealous because you wish you could pull off such an awesomely cute and nerdy shirt as well as me. :0)

Several months ago, I decided to try something new. Noticing a bit of pudginess increasing in myself, I decided to run a 5K. I had also decided to visit a dear friend of mine in Illinois, so to be efficient, I combined the two goals and signed up to run in Christie Clinic Illinois 5K (which was actually just a tag on to the big event, the marathon).

My dear sister graduated from Geneva College in December so in May my family headed up to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania for the ceremony and a few weeks after that we celebrated with a party!

Just to keep up with the busy theme, the week before Thanksging I was in St. Pete Beach, FL for a work trip. I got back on that Thursday before the holiday. In the next few days leading up to Thanksgiving I helped my brother-in-law move into his first home, I hosted a wedding shower, I saw my dear friends’ new baby, I met with a prominent photographer from the area and I shot my first solo wedding at the Ellicott City court house. It was a busy few days to say the least! To tide you over until after my last final and last class project EVER are over this upcoming week, here are few of the baby shots that I was able to snag.
World, meet Nathaniel Peter, firstborn son of my dear friend Melanie and her husband Donnie. Baby Nate, welcome to the world! read on! »

Today I was inspired by a friend’s facebook status referring to Psalm 91. By accident, I read Psalm 90 and it really it home, especially verse 17.
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

I have been crazy busy lately. I am taking my last two classes for my Masters this semester. (WOOPWOOP!) Jeremy (and I) are building a garage in our backyard. (For more timely garage updates, go here.) I am still working full time, and I have gotten the chance to shoot a couple of weddings with my dear friend Mandy and shoot my friend Jen’s belly dancing show. Oh, and I am trying to keep up with the housework.
So yesterday, after I got home from class, when I had a few spare minutes, instead of hitting the mountain of laundry or editing all the photos that I am behind on, or updating this blog or working on homework, I decided to make a pie. Because that is a good use of my time.
