Jaime and her husband Matt let me use them as models to experiment with some new lighting and techniques as well as be my very first maternity shoot! Jaime is a BEAUTIFUL mom, and I can’t wait to meet her new son when he arrives. Here is a sneak peek at a couple of shots from our session. Many thanks to Loews Hotel of Annapolis who kindly allowed us to shoot in their lobby when our original shoot location of Quiet Waters Park was being drenched in rain!

This past fall, Jeremy and I built a 24×24 garage. Yup. From the ground up. That included taking out a couple of trees (One by ourselves and the other we brought in professionals). We did everything ourselves except for the concrete foundation and slab and the door installation. Once the garage was up we could finally get rid of the ugly little red shed that was rotting and contained mice nests and tons of spider egg sacks.

I have lots pictures and such, but with finishing up my masters, actually building the garage, shooting weddings with the lovely Mandy Sroka and then the holidays, I just haven’t had a chance to get them up. Jeremy has put up some updates on his website, lots of photos in his gallery, and the complete story including comments from the peanut gallery can be viewed here at the garage journal.

I’ve been meaning to tell you, my faithful reader, about my internet life and travels for a while now.  (I could be optimistic and address you as ‘readers‘ but hey, I am not fooling anyone.) The reason I want to share this aspect is because I am oddly fascinated when other blog authors discuss what they have been reading. These people inspire me, make me angry, make me think, entertain me, and to think about who does the same for them is just cool.
